This article aims to investigate the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court and the normative incompatibilities between the Rome Statute and the Angolan Constitution. It should be noted that the International Criminal Court, despite being the jurisdictional institution that can best guarantee the protection of Human Rights, depends on the voluntary cooperation of States, either as parties or third parties. However, there are concerns about difficulties in the intervention of the International Criminal Court in the Angolan State, due to the possible conflict with the principle of constitutionality, which asserts the repeal of all norms contrary to the Constitution, and one of these concerns the immunities of sovereign bodies and life imprisonment, which are topics addressed in the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.
