The aim of this study was to construct and validate a three-factor scale of motivation in organizations. One of the reasons for this was the lack of instruments to measure the dimensions of motivation in our country. To this end, we used David McClelland's acquired needs theory to develop this questionnaire, which includes 30 items. A total of 262 employees of public and private institutions, of both sexes, aged between 19 and over 40 years, participated in the validation studies of the questionnaire. The scale presents good internal consistency indices (values between 0.70 and 0.90). Factor analysis revealed the existence of a three-factor structure with 52.1% of explained variance: motivation with achievement, power and affiliation. It is also expected that future studies can be developed based on this questionnaire.
